Alé BTC Ljubljana closes the season in Spain at the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta

The last race of the 2020 season for the Alé BTC Ljubljana team, which from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November will be in Spain to take part in the CERATIZIT Challenge by La Vuelta 20, which this year, for the first time, will take place over three stages.

The last trip of the UCI Women’s World Tour calendar, the race will start on Friday from Toledo. On Saturday it will start with a time trial in Boadilla del Monte, while the grand finale will take place in the Spanish capital Madrid, as an appetiser at the end of the men’s Vuelta.

The Italian team will line up at the start of the Spanish race with: Marta Bastianelli, Eri Yonamine, Maaike Boogaard, Urska Pintar, Anna Trevisi and Eugenia Bujak.

Sports directors: Fortunato Lacquaniti and Gorazd Penko.

Team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti said: “We are leaving for Spain with the desire to try to be protagonists and honour this race which is the last appointment of the 2020 season and which closes the WorldTour calendar”.

THE STAGES:

1st stage | Friday 6th November | Toledo – Escalona 82.8 km

2nd stage | Saturday 7th November | Boadilla del Monte 9,3 km (ITT)

3rd stage | Sunday 8th November | Madrid – Madrid 98,6 km
