Career overview
Yonamine was one of Japan’s most successful modern road riders, with repeated dominance in national championship races and a long European professional career. She won multiple Japanese national road race and time-trial titles, often doubling up in the same season, and represented Japan at the Olympic Games in 2016 and 2021. Internationally, she raced for teams including Wiggle-High5, Alé Cipollini, Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank, Human Powered Health and Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi, gaining experience across the Giro d’Italia Women, Tour de France Femmes, Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes and other major races.
