Career overview
Barale emerged as one of Italy’s most promising young stage-race riders after a strong junior career, winning the Italian junior time-trial title in 2020 and 2021 and finishing 2nd overall at the 2021 Tour du Gévaudan Occitanie. She turned professional with Team DSM in 2022 and developed through the DSM, dsm-firmenich PostNL and Picnic PostNL structure, gaining experience in the Giro d’Italia Women, Tour de France Femmes, Ardennes Classics and Women’s WorldTour stage races. Her best elite results include 4th at Tre Valli Varesine in 2023, 3rd at the 2024 Geelong Classic, 6th at the 2024 Deakin University Elite Women’s Road Race and consistent climbing support roles. Barale joined Movistar Team for 2026 on a contract through 2028.
