Career overview
Rüegg became Swiss road race champion in 2024, the same season she joined EF and claimed the team’s first victory at Trofeo Felanitx-Colònia de Sant Jordi. Her breakthrough at Women’s WorldTour level followed in 2025 when she won a stage and the overall classification at the Tour Down Under, then finished third at Milano-Sanremo Donne. She successfully defended her Tour Down Under title in 2026 and improved to second at Milano-Sanremo before winning the opening stage of La Vuelta Femenina and wearing the red jersey. Rüegg also finished fifth at Amstel Gold Race and 17th overall at the Tour de France Femmes, underlining her ability to contend across sprints, hilly Classics and stage races.
