Flanders World Championships 2021 – Women’s Time Trial Photos

After the men’s time trial yesterday, it was the turn of the women’s elite riders today. A slightly different course with a segment chopped out from the men’s time trial meant the race was slightly shorter. Conditions were great though, nice and dry, a fair bit of wind but that mostly aided the riders.

Ellen van Dijk won the race by 10 seconds from my pre-race favourite, Marlen Reusser. Annemiek van Vleuten rounded out the podium with 3rd place. The 46-year-old Amber Neben finished 4th, only a few weeks after fracturing her pelvis!
