How many riders will start the ADAC Cyclassics 2026?
With 22 teams able to select up to seven riders each, the theoretical maximum field is 154 riders.

What sort of riders does the Hamburg race suit?
The ADAC Cyclassics has traditionally been one of the more sprint-friendly Classics on the WorldTour calendar, but it is not simply a flat procession towards Hamburg.
The Waseberg is short but steep, and repeated passages late in the race can weaken pure sprinters and remove parts of their lead-out trains. That creates opportunities for powerful fast finishers, Classics specialists and late attackers as well as conventional bunch sprinters.
The details of those decisive kilometres are covered in the ADAC Cyclassics 2026 route guide.
For the wider background to the race, including its development from the HEW Cyclassics through the Vattenfall and BEMER eras to the current event, see ProCyclingUK’s brief history of ADAC Cyclassics. That page is also live.
