Career overview

Brown came to cycling after a running background and became one of Australia’s greatest road riders. She won the Olympic time-trial title at Paris 2024, then added the world time-trial title later the same season, completing a remarkable final year as a professional. Her 2024 campaign also included victory at Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes, while earlier wins included Brabantse Pijl in 2020, Classic Brugge-De Panne in 2021, the Women’s Tour Down Under overall in 2023 and repeated Australian national time-trial titles. Brown also finished 2nd at Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes, 3rd at the Tour of Flanders and 4th in the Tokyo Olympic time-trial before retiring at the end of 2024.
