Imola2020: the UCI Road World Championship began with the time trial for Bujak and Yonamine

​The UCI Cycling Road World Championships began today with the Women Elite time trial.

Two riders of the Alé BTC Ljubljana team also competed: Slovenian Eugenia Bujak finished in 13th place, while Japanese Eri Yonamine finished in 31st place.

The World Championship was won by the Dutch Anna Van der Breggen, silver medal for the Swiss Marlen Reussen, bronze medal for the other Dutch Ellen Van Dijk.

On Saturday 26th September, starting at 12.45 p.m., the Elit Women Road Racewill take place and five riders from Alé BTC Ljubljana will be involved.

The road race will take place on a circuit that measures 28.8 km for 550 metres of altitude difference to be repeated 5 times for 143 km and 2,750 metres of altitude difference, with the Mazzolano (peaks at 13%) and Cima Gallisterna (14%) climbs.
