This weekend the Belgian cycling season starts with the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Omloop van het Hageland.

Liv Racing Xstra starts its spring classics campaign with the 17th edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. The race over 128,4 km brings the riders from Ghent – where the team presentation takes place in `t Kuipke – to Ninove. Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska, Amber van der Hulst, Jeanne Korevaar, Quinty Ton and Sabrina Stultiens will defend the purple colors of our team in this race.

Korevaar has good memories about the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. She fininished 6th in 2019 and 7th in 2018. “I am really looking forward to this Saturday. The Omloop is the real opening of the season for me. I love this race with all the hectics on the cobbles and hills. Last week I raced in Valenciana after our training camp. We have done a lot of work in the preparation, now it is time to race. This week it was important to recover for this weekend. I feel good, but of course we have to wait and see how it goes in Saturday`s race. We are motivated to go for a good result with our team”, said Korevaar.

Sunday Demey, Stultiens and Jaskulska will also ride the Omloop van het Hageland. Eva Buurman, Rachele Barbieri and Silke Smulders will complete the Liv Racing Xstra line-up in this race over 128,2 km from Tienen to Tielt-Winge.
