This year’s Women’s Omloop van het Hageland has seen Lorena Wiebes on and off the startlist and the Dutch rider is now back on it again. It gives us a chance to see Wiebes against Kool against Balsamo as the 3 best sprinters in the world go head-to-head. It’s a tough little course with plenty of short sharp climbs to navigate but it still usually comes down to a decent-sized bunch sprinting it out. Kool didn’t race Omloop het Nieuwsblad yesterday so she may be in a stronger position with her legs than either of Wiebes or Balsamo.
