Steven Kruijswijk (Retired)
Steven Kruijswijk is a retired Dutch professional cyclist from Nuenen who spent his entire WorldTour career within the Rabobank, LottoNL-Jumbo and Visma team structure. A specialist stage-race climber, he finished on the Tour de France podium and came close to winning the Giro d’Italia.

Career overview
Kruijswijk turned professional with Rabobank in 2010 and became one of the most consistent Dutch Grand Tour riders of his generation. He led the 2016 Giro d’Italia deep into the race before a crash into a snowbank ended his challenge, eventually finishing fourth. He was fifth at the 2018 Tour de France and third overall in 2019, his only Grand Tour podium, while also finishing fourth at the 2018 Vuelta a España. Kruijswijk later became an experienced mountain domestique in the Visma set-up, including during Jonas Vingegaard’s Tour-winning campaigns. He ended his 17-season professional career after the 2026 Vuelta a España.
