Bujak queen of the Giro delle Marche in Rosa. Garcia remains leader at the Tour de l’Ardeche

Another positive day ends for the girls of the Alé BTC Ljubljana team, who have always played a leading role on the roads of Italy and Europe.

The Giro delle Marche in Rosa, the women’s Open race, ended today with the third round in Offida (Italy). Slovenian Eugenia Bujak won the final classification and her teammate Tatiana Guderzo finished second. In today’s stage, won by Greta Marturano of the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo, Bujal finished second and Guderzo third, confirming the excellent condition of the two girls.

In France, at the Tour de l’Ardeche, another demanding day with the 133.6 km from Meyrueis to Mont-Lozère, won by the American Kristen Faulkner of Team TIBCO – SVB. At 21 seconds, in second place came her companion Lauren Stephens, while the Spanish Mavi Garcia (Alé BTC Ljubljana) controlled and finished third at 22 seconds, also managing to increase her lead in the general classification with three stages to go.

Also today the whole team performed very well with the ninth place of the Slovenian Urska Zigart, who also climbed to the eighth place in the general classification where in tenth position we also find Ursa Pintar. All the riders of the #Yellowfluorange team did a great job, especially with 70 km to go when they formed a splendid train to close out on a breakaway of 12 athletes who had gained up to 8 minutes of advantage.

Good news also came from Turkey, where the Russian Anastasiia Chursina, competing with her national team, finished second in the Grand Prix World’s Best High Atitude, giving continuity to the excellent results of the last few days.

Sports director Fortunato Lacquaniti can only be satisfied: “Another positive day. Bujak was good, Guderzo was growing and in France Mavi Garcia continues to be the leader. We are having a great day, with four victories in four days and the general condition of the team is really good. These results are especially good for the morale of the girls ahead of the Giro”.

And the next appointment will be the Giro Rosa, which will start on Friday 11th September from Grosseto.
