Finnish rider Anniina Ahtosalo extends with Uno-X Mobility until end of 2027 season

Anniina Ahtosalo, the promising Finnish cyclist, has solidified her future in professional cycling by extending her contract with Uno-X Mobility until the end of 2027. The 20-year-old, who has been with the Norwegian team since 2022, has shown significant potential as an all-rounder and sprinter, consistently demonstrating her talents in both time trials and road races.

Ahtosalo, already the Finnish national champion in both disciplines, has made a notable impact in her initial professional season, hinting at her capabilities with several impressive performances. Her progress was even more pronounced in the past season. In the spring, she secured second place in the Ronde de Mouscron and finished fourth in both the EPZ Omloop van Borsele and the Trofee Maarten Wynants. Her achievements continued into the autumn, where she placed third in Binche Chimay Binche, eighth in the Tour of Guangxi, and tenth in the Tour of Chongming Island. Furthermore, Ahtosalo clinched a bronze medal in the under-23 European Championship time trial.

Ahtosalo’s commitment to Uno-X Mobility through 2027 underscores her rising status in the sport and the team’s confidence in her potential. Her performances, particularly in the Women’s WorldTour, where she garnered top-10 finishes in the Tours of Chongming Island and Guangxi, have marked her as one of the most promising young talents in the peloton.
