The Belgian first races will take place on Saturday, 29th February and Monday, 1st March. The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad will open the season of the northern Classics through the Flemish cobbles and famous climbs like the Kapelmuur and the Bosberg before the finish line in Ninove after 123 kms and the start in Ghent. On the following day the Omloop Van Het Hageland takes place in Tielt – Winge with more cobbles but with more chances for the sprinters; Specialists of these kind of races should be considered as outsiders.
The Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti has in the line-up the recent Vuelta Valenciana winner Marta Bastianelli, the compatriot Anna Trevisi, the Japanese and Slovenian National Champions Eri Yonamine and Eugenia Bujak, the Russian Anastasiia Chursina and the Dutch Maaike Boogaard. The Thai sprinter Maneephan Jutatip will be added at the Omloop Van Het Hageland of Sunday, where Marta Bastianelli is the winner of the 2019 edition.
