Team Picnic PostNL have confirmed their seven-rider squad for the Tour de France Femmes 2026, with Eleonora Ciabocco set to lead the team’s general classification ambitions and Mia Griffin given responsibility for the sprint opportunities.
Ciabocco is joined by Robyn Clay, Lucie Fityus, Pfeiffer Georgi, Griffin, Gaia Masetti and Josie Nelson for the nine-stage race, which begins in Lausanne on 1 August and finishes in Nice on 9 August.
The team arrive at the Tour after what coach Callum Ferguson described as an unlucky season, but with a clear structure around Ciabocco for the overall classification and Griffin on the faster days. The wider context is covered in our Team Picnic PostNL 2026 Women’s WorldTour guide.

Ciabocco will be Picnic PostNL’s GC finisher, although Ferguson stressed that the 22-year-old Italian will not be placed under heavy pressure after a disrupted season.
“Eleonora will be our GC finisher, but we will take it day-by-day with her and without pressure after the unlucky season she’s had,” Ferguson said.
That approach makes sense on a Tour de France Femmes 2026 route where the overall classification should develop in stages. The opening Lausanne finish is punchy before the race moves towards Geneva, while the 21km individual time trial to Dijon on Stage 4 should provide the first major separation between the GC contenders.
The biggest test comes on Stage 7 with the summit finish on Mont Ventoux, followed by another difficult final stage around Nice.

Griffin will be the team’s main finisher on the flatter stages, with Stage 2 towards Geneva one of the clearest opportunities.
The Irish champion joined Picnic PostNL for 2026 after a breakthrough 2025 season, a move covered when the team signed Mia Griffin ahead of the new campaign.
Stage 3 could also produce a sprint, although the accumulated climbing between Geneva and Poligny may make it much harder to control. Stage 8 towards Nice offers another potential chance for the fast riders who survive the mountains, although late climbing gives attackers an opportunity to disrupt the sprint teams.
“We will go into them with Mia as our finisher,” Ferguson said of the sprint stages.

Pfeiffer Georgi provides the most established WorldTour experience in the selection and gives Picnic PostNL another option on the harder transitional stages. Gaia Masetti adds similar flexibility after joining the team for 2026.
Masetti’s move was part of Picnic PostNL’s broader roster rebuild, with the team adding Gaia Masetti and Audrey De Keersmaeker for 2026.
The middle of the Tour contains several days where a strong escape could succeed, particularly once the GC has started to spread after Dijon. That should suit a team without one of the overwhelming yellow jersey favourites, giving riders such as Georgi, Masetti and Nelson more freedom to attack rather than carrying responsibility for controlling the peloton.
Those stages are also where the Tour de France Femmes 2026 breakaway specialists are likely to become increasingly important.

Picnic PostNL target opportunities after difficult season
Ferguson said the Tour remains one of the team’s biggest objectives despite a season in which preparations have repeatedly been disrupted.
“The Tour de France Femmes has been one of our biggest goals and target races of the season, so we head into it filled with motivation,” he said. “Overall, we will look to continue building on the good foundations we’ve been building and grab opportunities with two hands when they arise.”
That may be the right approach for a squad without one obvious route to success. Ciabocco gives Picnic PostNL a rider to develop through the GC battle, Griffin has defined sprint opportunities and Georgi provides the experience to take advantage of less controlled stages.
The team may not begin the Tour with one of the main favourites for yellow, but the 2026 riders to watch underline how many different types of stages could reward riders willing to race aggressively.
