Bigla-KATUSHA to take on Setmana Ciclista Valenciana

The first stage of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana – Vuelta Comunidad Valenciana Féminas will start this Thursday and lead the riders over 107km from Gandia to Cullera. The stage is flat except for a third category climb awaiting the field around 70 km from the finish. The second 126 km long stage will commence in Agost, in the Alicanti region. After contesting the intermediate sprint, the peloton will face the Alto de la Carrasqueta (2nd category), before heading up the ramps of the very steep Alto de Benifallim, (1st category) followed by the ascent of the Alto de Tudons, before the field will arrive 30km later in the finishing town of Finestrat. The following day will bring the riders back to the province of Valencia. The 94 km long course offers an intermediate sprint and a second category ascent before heading into the finishing town of Sagunt. On the fourth and final stage, the riders will have to complete a 140 km course, the longest of this year’s edition. The peloton will leave Betxí, before facing the first of the four climbs of the day, the Alto del Marianet, followed by the Alto de Eslida. After a rapid descent, the riders will climb to the top of Ain, a second category climb before cresting the first category ascent, the Alto del Caballo, which comes 48 km before the finish line in Vila-Real where the winner of this year’s race will be crowned.
