Bredewold returns to Plouay attempting something remarkable.
The Team SD Worx-Protime rider has won each of the last three editions, giving her an opportunity to extend that streak to four this afternoon.
Her dominance makes her the obvious tactical reference point even on a redesigned course.
Rivals know that simply surviving alongside Bredewold is not necessarily enough. If she reaches the closing straight in a manageable group, her sprint gives her an enormous advantage.

Noemi Rüegg brings climbing ability and a fast finish, while Cédrine Kerbaol has every incentive to race aggressively before the sprint becomes relevant.
That means EF do not need to commit to one leader or one approach.
Kerbaol can attack and force other teams to chase while Rüegg remains protected behind.
If those attacks are brought back, Rüegg still has a realistic route to victory.
