Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank ready for the cobbles

The Flemish Classics are officially here! Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank will start Gent-Wevelgem this weekend, March 28, and Dwars door Vlaanderen three days later, preparing for Ronde van Vlaanderen April 4 – considered the most prestigious one-day WorldTour race on the calendar.

“The races so far have been aggressive and unpredictable. The next three races are definitely in the typical Belgian cobbled classics category, so I expect that trend to continue, and we are looking forward to creating opportunities,” Hedderman said. “We have a good, well-rounded team with riders with very different strengths, and we’re looking to use this to continue to build on our results so far.”

GCN and Eurosport will broadcast all three events. Please check the website for up-to-date start times and streaming in your area.

Gent-Wevelgem

Featuring the famous cobbled Kemmelberg, Monteberg, and Baneberg, Gent-Welvelgem (1.WWT) kicks off the next three upcoming races in Flanders. Race organisers have been quiet about this year’s route due to Covid-19, but it’s likely to be similar to last year’s 140km event.

Dwars door Vlaanderen (1.1) is up next. Much like Gent Welvelgem, the route information is under wraps, but we can count the 122km race to include the well-known Kortekeer, Steenbeekdries, and Taaienberg climbs.
